APPLICATION PROCEDURE
MSc and PhD students and postdocs interested in attending the course are requested to apply by completing the application form and sending it as an email attachment to Dr. Kálmán Zoltán Váczy (ret@ektf.hu) no later than 28th June 2016. A letter of recommendation from their supervisor or group leader or department head should also be attached to the email as a PDF or a scanned document to serve as a proof of the current student or postdoc status.
The Scientific Committee will select those applicants who are invited to attend the summer school. Please note that the number of participants is limited. Priority will be given to those whose MSc or PhD thesis or postdoc work is related to powdery mildew research or a closely related topic. This should be mentioned in the application form.
All applicants will receive an email notification concerning the outcome of their applications by 1st July 2016 at the latest.
There is no registration fee to attend the summer school. Participants will be requested to pay a modest
fee (6000 HUF/night; this is approx. 19 euro/night) to cover their accommodation in the
student hostel of Eszterházy Károly University of Applied Sciences and to contribute to the costs of sandwich lunches and coffee breaks. This fee will be paid at the registration desk, upon arrival on 1st August, based on an invoice issued on-site.
Please note that neither the organizers nor their institutions will assume any responsibility whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or property during this event. Participants are advised to arrange their own personal travel and health insurance.
